Once a month I take a drive to Madison, Wisconsin to visit some of my favorite places in the city and surrounding areas. I use to live in Madison, WI a few years ago and it is such a great city. I really enjoyed my time there so I go back to visit as often as I can. Here are some of my favorite places in Madison, WI.

Seven Seeds Farm is a family owned and operated farm. In the late 1800’s when Arne and Ingaborg arrived in Spring Green, Wisconsin, life was hard but they were blessed with the opportunity to buy the farm. Good soil and plenty of fresh Wisconsin air made the farm flourish for generations of Mikelson, Peterson, and Davis families.
Today they have brought the farm full circle. Some of the innovations are welcome, like running water and solar panels for electricity! Others were not, like the use of chemicals, hormones, and genetically altered feed.
I enjoy the quality of their produce and their customer service is great.

Cedar Grove Cheese Factory is a small family owned cheese factory located in Plain, Wi. The factory has operated over 125 years. They produce organic grass-fed based dairy cheese. They have been selected as one of the 50 key players in dairy industry by Cheese Market News. I love their 5 year aged cheese and their award winning Monterey Jack. They also have tours where you can see the process of how they make cheese.

Wollersheim Winery is a National Historic Site and has earned local and international recognition at wine competitions with multiple Double-Gold awards. The winery also received the honors of Winery of the Year (2012) and Wine of the Year (for Dry Riesling, 2013) from the prestigious San Diego International Wine Competition, as well as Small Winery of the Year (2015) from the Riverside International Wine Competition. The winery continues to be a leader in the Midwest wine industry.
I am a member of the wine club at Wollersheim Winery & Distillery. They have variety of wines and one of my favorite wines there is the Domaine Du Sac.
